Titus 2:11-14 - Grace, God's Gift to All

Grace is God’s undeserved favor working in people’s lives to save and redeem them.  God asks nothing of the person He is helping through grace except faith; He simply asks us to recognize that we are sinners and that we need Christ Jesus as our Savior.  (Ephesians 2:8-9)  No further works like penance, rosary beads, or man made efforts are necessary.  

This does not mean we can use God’s grace as a way to excuse our habits of sin; God wants our bodies to be holy as well.  It is because He expects a holy life from us that His grace restrains us from sin as we submit our lives to His lordship.  In other words, grace frees us from having to participate in sin while we are living here on earth.

Who is eligible in receiving and procuring God’s grace?  Who can begin living in the power of Christ and knowing Him?  “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men …”  (Titus 2:11)  All men, women, and children regardless of age or place in life can receive the wonderful gift of grace which results in living in eternal life today.  This grace is free for all mankind!  Won’t you come to Jesus today?
