After we have accepted Christ as Savior, we do not automatically become sinless. We may still struggle, stumble, or fall into sin either intentionally or unintentionally. "Promised Forgiveness" means when, in repentance, we agree with God on what sin is and that we have hurt Him, ourselves, and others - His gracious pardon is abundant and free!
