Being a teacher is important; passing on knowledge and information to others is a must. However, Paul lamented that there may be many 'teachers' or instructors in Christ, but not so many 'fathers' or parents in the faith. Many teachers don't care about their students; but spiritual parents who helped us find the Lord in our darkest need normally care about their 'sons or daughters' in the faith; they are the people we need to look up to!
